Every day I cross the South Street Bridge on my way to and from school. It has become routine, a mindless activity. But sometimes when I have too many thoughts buzzing in my mind, I take a break from my routine and pause on the edge of that bridge. I look out at the water and reflect on life. In some ways, it’s cathartic. It doesn’t solve my problems, but it’s nice to take a moment to sit with my feelings and breathe. Then I turn around, and I keep walking.
