If there is something that
I dream, it is this:
—————-A body
waxed until the flesh flies
like apples smashed by
baseball bats.
—-—-—-A body
dissolved into a bruised
pelvis collecting blood.
—-—-—-A body
skinned until it disappears
into a body in reverse.
—-—-—-A body
dissected and chiseled
into a hollow vase.
—-—-—-A body
which on nights like
these reminds me
of how even water
could burn an empty
stomach
of how the softest things
are the hardest to cut
cleanly.
