Agnes Ezekwesili
I am an avid baker, traveler, hiker, and movie watcher. I love trying new recipes and cooking for my friends and family. When I travel, I like to explore on foot, taking long walks and finding every possible street market. Jesus is the sweetest name I know and my faith empowers me to thrive in every circumstance. I also would consider Bananagrams to be my favorite board game even if I do not always win.
Alexandra Thaler
I love running, yoga, spending time outdoors (hiking, picnics, anything on the water), reading, and baking. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family. Outside of medicine, I am interested in politics and the intersection of business and healthcare.

Ankita Reddy
Having creative outlets has always been important to me. I enjoy dancing as well as experimenting with video and textile design.

I like to make dumplings from scratch while listening to Broadway musicals. When I previously lived in New York, I would often play board games with friends, run in the city, visit museums and explore new food. Now living in COVID era Philly, I am picking up baking, soft pastels and trying to paint using watercolor (while learning how to play board games over Zoom).
Outside of medicine, I spend time with my parents who live in Toronto and my brother who lives in Connecticut. My significant other and I just got engaged and hope to adopt a cat soon!
Anusha Naik
I love getting to know new people and seeking out new experiences! In my free time, you can find me cooking, doing yoga, playing card games, painting, taking photos, hiking, or finding any other excuse to be outdoors. It’s important to me to spend time appreciating the people in my life and the world around me.
Benjamin Frost
I like spending time with friends, whether that’s exploring Philly’s music scene, watching a game (or the Bachelor), or simply enjoying each others company in a beautiful park. I run semi-frequently and love playing sports (I’m currently trying to learn tennis). I value service, and forming relationships with people in my community is important to me.
Bhavya Ancha
Since I had long ago made going out to eat my only personality trait, I decided to take up cooking during quarantine to get my foodie fix! A nice meal, good company, and some reggaetón sounds like the perfect evening. I love adventuring and meeting others vagabonding through life.
Brian Levine
Outside of medicine, I am a jazz drummer who enjoys playing and watching live music. I also go on frequent hikes, walks, and bike rides – if not with friends, then with a podcast. I love learning about how the world works, how others think, and how to influence systems to improve economic and health equity.

Carolyn Chow
Hi everyone! Among my favorite things are al dente noodles, museums, and introspection, and one of my central personality traits is that I am fascinated by basically everything. My Christian faith is very important to me, as is music, which I love to both listen to and make. In medicine, I have little idea in terms of a potential specialty, but I am interested in public health, medical ethics, and medical humanities. So excited to meet you all, hear your stories and passions, and learn to serve others well together in the coming years!
Carson Poltorack
Reading good science, brewing good coffee, woodshedding a tough passage of Tchaikovsky on violin; Being adventurous in the kitchen, listening to podcasts (The Ezra Klein Show/Sean Carroll’s Mindscape), discovering new music; Being politically conscious, thinking about my role in society, and practicing radical empathy; Trying to reconcile the short-term happiness I feel working in the lab with the long-term satisfaction I feel from deepening relationships with those around me; Living ethically, then happily.

However, she regularly enjoys reading, traveling, exploring different cuisines, and participating in friendly baking competitions. In addition to her love of medicine, Wilson is passionate about community service and mentorship, especially within underserved spaces.
Chip Chambers
Now that I’ve secured admission to the greatest school on the planet (an objective fact), I enjoy doing very unambitious things like playing basketball/frisbee/spikeball, playing the piano, and dancing to pop hits from middle school, which might start to sound impressive if I actually did any of them well. I also specialize in puns, watching Planet Earth, and policing usage of the Oxford comma. And when none of those seem like suitable forms of procrastination from studying, I resort to reading about theology/leadership/economics/healthcare, watching college football (go dawgs), serving at my church, and dreaming about my grandmother’s jalapeño cornbread muffins.
Christian Rodriguez
I enjoy pick up sports and video games with friends and I play ice hockey.
Christopher Stephen

I also love to laugh and have been enjoying a lot of comedy movies and stand-up specials during this time of isolating at home.

Outside of medicine, I would say that faith, family, and friends are the most central aspects of my life. I am also passionate about issues concerning social justice, especially those centered around global, racial, and socioeconomic disparity, education, etc. For fun, I enjoy biking, traveling, and watching TV & Netflix with friends and family (Greenleaf is a current favorite). I am also an avid music fan. Whether it is playing piano or trumpet, composing, or listening to Spotify hours on end, it is my favorite way to reflect on life and express my thought and ideas.

I am generally an active, social person who loves to spend his downtime with others. I enjoy vibrant cities (spent my two gap years in NYC and SF), nice restaurants (with a focus on Asian cuisines with spicy, flavorful food), fun bars (with hip-hop music and dance vibes), and weekend trips. I am a runner, but also enjoy pick-up basketball, tennis, spikeball, and group workouts. I also love watching sports (tennis, NBA, NFL, among others) and movies (favorite directors include Tarantino, Nolan, Scorsese, Coen Brothers, etc.). Lastly, my gap year work was with a start-up in the biopharma space – thus, I am always interested in discussing opportunities that integrate clinical medicine, research, and industry.

Outside of medicine, I like to make music, typically on my trombone or computer but increasingly on the piano! I also like to exercise and watch soccer. Furthermore, I enjoy studying languages and using them to learn about cultures. Beyond these things, I enjoy simple pleasures in life like “Dad jokes” and conversations with friends about basically anything they find interesting. In terms of what’s important to me outside of medicine, my faith, Christianity, is very important to me and influences virtually every aspect of my life.

When not in class or in the lab, I’m an avid runner, climber, and graphic designer. While the current public health crisis has made it tough, local and global travel have always been my favorite ways to meet new people and encounter new ideas. In the interim, reading works by Haruki Murakami, Isabel Allende, and Marlon James have helped pass the time.

I really enjoy learning about a variety of topics, like economics, politics, history, and tech. I am also really into playing and following sports; my favorites are football, baseball, basketball, and tennis. Exercising, particularly weightlifting, has been a big part of my life and is a huge stress reliever for me. I sometimes will work on side projects like writing or even coding!

Most of my free time is spent running, finding new shows to watch (mainly TV comedies), and spending time with friends. I’m looking forward to exploring Philadelphia largely through running and finding fun things to do outside. I have spent most of quarantine experimenting in the kitchen and begging my family to play board games (mostly Ticket to Ride). In undergrad I have enjoyed cheering on Notre Dame sports and traveling to new places.

I enjoy exploring the city, going out to eat with friends, and spending time with my family. My competitive side comes out in trivia and pick-up basketball. Always a fan of a good tv series, movie, or book. Outside of medicine, I am interested in current events, especially surrounding the military, American history, and aviation.
